Something to think about at any age.

cid:1.1331636812@web30201.mail.mud.yahoo.com

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold
morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck
with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore".
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together,
no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and
goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say
"I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when
it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage.....
And old cars... And children with bad habits and report cards,
and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it, because we are
worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or
a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that
make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And
so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'!
Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way.... Now
it's your turn to send this to all those people who are "keepers"
in your life, including the person who sent it, if you feel that way.
Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends
know you love them?

I was thinking....I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and
I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships
that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.

Let every one of your friends know you love them.. Even if you
think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what
those three little words and a smile can do. And just in case I'm
gone tomorrow.

I LOVE YA!!!

Like I always say:::

Today's always here, tomorrow never comes and yesterday is
gone forever!

Romans 12:19-21

LORD, thank you for this reminder in your word
"Romans 12:19-21"
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Amen...

NAILS IN THE FENCE

NAILS IN THE FENCE

Make sure you read all the way
down to the last sentence.

(Most importantly the last sentence)

There once was a little boy who
had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every
time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had
driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.

He told his father about it and
the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he
was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young
boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the
hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but
look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.
When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.
You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But It won't matter
how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there. A verbal
wound is as bad as a physical one.... Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.

It's National Friendship Week..
Show your friends how much you care. Send this to everyone you
consider a FRIEND, even if it means sending it back to the person who sent it
to you! If it comes back to you, you will then know you have a circle of
friends
..

YOU ARE MY FRIEND AND I AM HONORED!

Now send this to every friend
you have!! And to your family (they need to know that you love them too).

*****Please forgive me if I have ever
left a 'hole' in your fence.*****

Have you ever heard "laminin" and God in the same sentence?

It is a protein that acts as the glue that holds all of our trillions of cells together. You have got to go listen to Tim Weston- a Christian and volunteer youth coordinator. I have listed his blog here where he has a video where he talks about laminin and how God is great. How when God made us, there is no denying who we were made from. And if this doesn't make you a believer then your eyes are really shut.

http://www.tim-weston.com/blog/2008/07/02/laminin/

This is the way they look binding all our cells together.

This is the scientific look at laminins.

Here is another scientific look at what laminin looks like. The grey images are of the actual laminin from the body.

I came across this today and I just love it

I was going through some of the things over at Skip To My Lou and I found this fabulous tutorial for a Reversible tote bag
Cindylou is always so thorough with her tutorials. She gives you detail by detail what to do. Such easy to follow directions. And I love all the pics she includes so you can see step by step what she is doing.
You have got to take a look at this tote bag. As soon as I can find 2 fabrics I like I am making this.

I have taken to making a tote bag my purse. I recently found a tote bag with 2 dogs riding a vintage motor bike at the Dollar Store. I really liked it, they had one in a brown tone and one in a grey tone. I bought both. I took the brown one and added some material to the inside with some pockets and I use it everyday. It has become my favorite purse. I get all sorts of compliments on it. I plan to do up the grey one for winter. I just haven't found the right fabric for the inside yet.

Wrapping paper -FREE at that..

Hasn't the cost of wrapping paper gone through the roof? Well I don't know about you but I look for different ways to wrap my birthday presents and things to spice them up. I recently found some old state maps we were going to throw away. But decided to use them for a few gifts we needed for a party we were attending. Boy did they go over well. Everyone just thought the wrapping was the best ever.
Well I came home and did a search to see where I could find some more for FREE of course. And I found this site: heyitsfree
where they list state upon state that offers FREE maps. I think I hit the jackpot. So I wanted to spread the good news. So now you too can load up on FREE wrapping paper.
I also use the funnies from the sunday paper, makes the wrap colorful. If the present is even small enough I have used a page from a magazine to give the recipient a hint as to what they are getting.
The ideas are endless.
In this day and age you have to use your noodle to learn how to save as much money as you can.

These are troubling times.

READ THIS IF YOU READ ANYTHING---
THINK ABOUT THIS VERY HARD.!!!!

This woman was born in Egypt as a Muslim. This is not heresy. Make sure you read the paragraph (in red) towards the end.

Joys of Muslim Women

by Nonie Darwish

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child, consummating the marriage by 9. The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.

Even though a woman is abused, she can not obtain a divorce.

To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.

Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and the man does not have to say why he has beaten her.

The husband is permitted to have 4 wives and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.

The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.

In the Western World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.

By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.

Ripping the West in Two

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.

She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.

Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza ..

When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.

But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.

For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.

Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.

While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.

While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.

It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. is one... and there are others...

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. the peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America ...

This is your chance to make a difference...!

Please Pass this on to anyone you think will listen.......

Checking in

I know I've been missing for a bit. I had been doing a search online last week and found a cousin I hadn't seen in over 20yrs. We had lost contact after our mother's died. Then our family reunion had stopped so our families had stopped getting together and we both had went on with our lives. She was still living in Ohio and I had the pleasure of going down there last weekend and spent a 4 day weekend visiting with her.
She was graced with having 4 of her grand kids for the weekend, so I got to meet them also. They were her youngest son's kids. They sure do enjoy the time they get to spend with grandma. As much as grandma does the time she gets with them.
Cathy and I stayed up all night the first night until 2 the next day just talking and catching up on all the things we missed over the years about each others lives. We were really close and it is good to know that we will be close again now that we are back in touch. Plus the 3hr. drive will not keep us apart. I will be doing the driving down there as she has diabetes and a stint in her leg so it is easier for me to drive than her. Plus I don't mind driving. Now I just need to get Larry to take us for a bike ride down there and he can meet her. It would be a great ride on the bike. I might talk him into it in about a month when the leaves start turning.
Well that's what I've been up to.

How about you--- what have you been up to??????

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA

The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly its true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.

It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'

So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her
And send her back to me.

This is a tribute to all the Grandmas and grandpas who have been fearless and . . . .

learned to use the Computer.....

A letter to a bank

Shown below, is an actual letter that was sent to a bank by an 86 year old woman.
The bank manager thought it amusing enough to have it published in the New York Times.

Dear Sir:

I am writing to thank you for bouncing my check with which I endeavored to pay my plumber last month.
By my calculations, three nanoseconds must have elapsed between his presenting the check and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honor it. I refer, of course, to the automatic monthly deposit of my entire pension, an arrangement which, I admit, has been in place for only eight years. You are to be commended for seizing that brief window of opportunity, and also for debiting my account $30 by way of penalty for the inconvenience caused to your bank.

My thankfulness springs from the manner in which this incident has caused me to rethink my errant financial ways. I noticed that whereas I personally answer your telephone calls and letters, --- when I try to contact you, I am confronted by the impersonal, overcharging, prerecorded, faceless entity which your bank has become.

From now on, I, like you, choose only to deal with a flesh-and-blood person. My mortgage and loan repayments will therefore and hereafter no longer be automatic, but will arrive at your bank, by check, addressed personally and confidentially to an employee at your bank whom you must nominate. Be aware that it is an offense under the Postal Act for any other person to open such an envelope. Please find attached an Application Contact which I require your chosen employee to complete. I am sorry it runs to eight pages, but in order that I know as much about him or her as your bank knows about me, there is no alternative.
Please note that all copies of his or her medical history must be countersigned by a Notary Public, and the mandatory details of his/her financial situation (income, debts, assets and liabilities) must be accompanied by documented proof.

In due course, at MY convenience, I will issue your employee with a PIN number which he/she must quote in dealings with me. I regret that it cannot be shorter than 28 digits but, again, I have modeled it on the number of button presses required of me to access my account balance on your phone bank service.
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Let me level the playing field even further.
When you call me, press buttons as follows:

IMMEDIATELY AFTER DIALING, PRESS THE STAR (*) BUTTON FOR ENGLISH

#1. To make an appointment to see me

#2. To query a missing payment.

#3. To transfer the call to my living room in case I am there.

#4 To transfer the call to my bedroom in case I am sleeping

#5. To transfer the call to my toilet in case I am attending to nature.

#6.. To transfer the call to my mobile phone if I am not at home

#7. To leave a message on my computer, a password to access my computer is required. Password will be communicated to you at a later date to that Authorized Contact mentioned earlier.

#8. To return to the main menu and to listen to options 1 through 7.

#9. To make a general complaint or inquiry. The contact will then be put on hold, pending the attention of my automated answering service.

#10. This is a second reminder to press* for English.
While this may, on occasion, involve a lengthy wait, uplifting music will play for the duration of the call.

Regrettably, but again following your example, I must also levy an establishment fee to cover the setting up of this new arrangement.
May I wish you a happy, if ever so slightly less prosperous New Year?
Your Humble Client

And remember: Don't make old People mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to piss us off

Face--Wall Art, what is its origin??

I am not one to usually buy something like this but this caught my eye. It is made from one single piece of leather. The face part is all smooth and the rest has a stiff feel to it. It has no markings on it and I am not sure where it might have come from or who might have made this. Do any of my followers have any idea as to it's origin??? I would love to hear any ideas you may have. I'm still not sure if it goes with the rest of my decor yet or not, the reason for it to be on a wall all by its self. Hubby says it gives him a creepy feeling. I myself just am amazed as to who made it. More over maybe how old it might be?
I got it at the Salvation Army Store so I only pd $1.96 for it so I'm not out much for it, if it turns out to not be made by any "tribe" or anything. But I would really like to find out its origin.

SENIORS IN LOVE

An elderly couple were invited to an old friend's home for dinner one evening.

She was impressed by the way her lady friend began each comment to her husband with endearing terms such as: Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin, etc.

The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were still very much in love.

While the husband was in the living room, her lady friend leaned over to her host to say, "I think it's wonderful that, after all these years, you still call your husband all those loving pet names".

The elderly lady hung her head. "I have to tell you the truth," she said, "His name slipped my mind about 10 years ago, and I'm scared to death to ask the cranky old fart what his name is".

Marriage-what it REALLY IS!!!!

Christian

Andre Bocelli-absolutely beautiful

http://www.greatdanepro.com/Pray%20For%20America/index.htm

When the screen fills up with words, the words tumble to the bottom and new words start up again at the top of the screen. Very nice! Be sure to have your volume on....

Be sure to watch all the way to the end.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that Person..

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need You have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with Guidance and support, To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an End.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire Fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has Come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional Foundation..

Your job is to accept the lesson, Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other Relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Making Homemade Laundry Soap

Now when I make mine-- I just use regular bar soap- whatever I happen to have on hand. We usually have Irish Spring. It makes the clothes smell really nice. I have never had any problems with the color running. But I also use a 5 gal. pot that you would use for canning that you put your jars in on the stove and I fill that completely up with hot water. I still let it set over night. Mine gets to a gel consistancy. So I have to shake my detergent ever time I get ready to use it to remix it. But no biggy. I use the same recipe as she used and I only use 1/4 cup in my loads and they come out fine. But to each their own. I also use vinegar for my fabric softener too. "No it doesn't make the clothes smell"
Have a nice day.....

The Maker of human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed "Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality, " or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.

Some of the symptoms include:

Loss of direction
Foul vocal emissions
Amnesia of origin
Lack of peace and joy
Selfish or violent behavior
Depression or confusion in the mental component
Fearfulness
Idolatry
Rebellion

The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect.

The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required.

The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R.

Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:

Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self control

Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Believers' Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes.

WARNING:

Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus.

DANGER:

The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility. Thank you for your attention!

- GOD

P.S.
Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by 'Knee mail.'

Byron's Dutch Oven Recipes

I don't have a dutch oven but even if you don't these recipes sound so good. Byron said you can also bake these in your oven most at just 350° F. I plan to give some of these a try. He has so many listed I don't know where to start first, from breakfast, to cakes and breads, to poultry and even some vegetarian. He has everything covered. The recipes come from him and his friends and neighbors from over the years. He has even gotten blue ribbons for some of them. He even has photos for you to look at.

"I HEARD HIM TELL MOMMY THAT HE WOULD CLIMB THE WALLS IF YOU CAME TO VISIT".

THE WATER PISTOL
WHEN MY THREE-YEAR-OLD SON OPENED THE BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER, HE DISCOVERED A WATER PISTOL... HE SQUEALED WITH DELIGHT AND HEADED FOR THE NEAREST SINK.
I WAS NOT SO PLEASED. I TURNED TO MOM AND SAID, "I'M SURPRISED AT YOU. DON'T YOU REMEMBER HOW WE USED TO DRIVE YOU CRAZY WITH WATER GUNS?"
MOM SMILED AND THEN REPLIED..... "I REMEMBER!!"
