Our President has lied to us again !!! Do you have $150-$250 to lose a month?

New Tax in January ~ No one seems to know about this........

This is bad! Really, really bad!!!!!!!!! Be sure to read this and check out the link at the bottom of the page.

CLICK ON THE LINK AT BOTTOM OF EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!

I just received a lengthy e-mail about a new tax few know about. Rather than forward the entire message I will condense it, but recommend you check out the link at the bottom to read the Washington Times editorial.

This will affect most of you because it is a payroll deduction, so you might also want to forward it to your kids or young friends so they can be prepared also. $150 to $250 per month is not chump change.

We will all be taxed $150-$250 PER MONTH beginning in 2011 for the NEW Community Living Assistance Services and Support Act (CLASS Act) that was added to the Reconciliation Bill on Friday night, Mar 19, 2010, before Congress voted on Sunday, Mar. 21, 2010. It will help pay for long-term home-care for the elderly.

In January of 2011, the government will start taking between $150-$250 out of our paychecks every month. ALL of us will be taxed on this one rich or poor, everyone except people who don't have a job. If you have a job and get a pay check, the government will take this tax from you.

And there's more to this surprise! The program won't begin for five years, and they don't expect to pay out anything for at least 10 years. So we get a head start on paying for it. Isn't that great? The government will take our money and put it in their savings account for at least 10 years, and then they will start giving it to other people.

The CLASS ACT, (isn't that a great name for it?) was apparently a pet project of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, who was never able to get support for it because it was just to costly. What a wonderful tribute to Senator Kennedy! I know he would be so proud of Nancy for getting this done for him.

Liquid Hand Soap Recipe

Liquid Hand Soap Recipe

Learn how to make your own liquid soap, and you'll wonder why you ever paid
for it:
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 10 minutes of hands-on time
Here's How:
Grate or finely chop a bar of soap (about four ounces of soap). Bring four cups of water to a boil.
Turn off the heat, and add the soap. Stir to melt the soap. Continue stirring until the mixture is fully combined. At this point the mixture will be very liquidy. Allow the mixture to cool for at least 15 minutes. Then, stir again. At this point, the soap should be slightly thicker.
Allow to cool for another several hours or overnight. Stir to check the consistency. If it seems too liquidy, reheat and add more soap. If it seems too thick; reheat and add more water.
Once you're satisfied with your soap, add a few drops of essential oil and coloring, if desired.
Then, pour your soap into dispensers, and enjoy.
Tips:
Want to make a bigger or smaller batch? Just use one cup of water for every
ounce of soap. This recipe stores well. Make up a big batch, a few times a year. Results will vary depending on the type of soap used. Tweak the recipe until it meets your needs. For a super-smooth consistency, run the finished soap through a blender before pouring into dispensers.
What You Need:
A bar of soap
A knife or grater
Water
A sauce pan or pot
Essential oil (optional)
Soap coloring (optional)
Empty soap dispensers

The Amazing Cucumber

The Amazing Cucumber

This information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful ways to solve common problems.

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.

11 Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12 Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean...

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

Pass this along to everybody you know who is looking for better and safer ways to solve life's everyday problems.

Something I haven't done before

I know up til now I haven't shown a pic of myself but I just came across this pic of my hubby and myself and just wanted to share it. Yes now you know I am just 4ft. 6in. tall. Yes that means I am a dwarf. Yes I was teased as a child. Even though I had 4 brothers, I wasn't spoiled being the only girl in the family. I had to learn how to work on cars and motorcycles if I wanted my fathers attention. Since I was the only girl he didn't know how to show any attention to me. So I had to vie for his attention in becoming a tomboy. Even though we didn't spend alot of time together we were alot alike. Strong headed, easy going and easy to forgive. I spent lots of time with my mother and learned how to pinch a penny. With a family of 7 and her making ends meet the way she did was a miracle. My father was a bad drinker so that came first before the bills and food. But mother always made sure there was food on the table.
But as I look back on those days I see that it was the Lord that made it all work, not my dad or my mom. See I asked him into my heart when I was all of 10yrs. old. Started praying my heart out that my dad would stop his drinking. Well he finally did, many years later when he blew his head off. Something I had trouble trying to tell my 2 children, then 15 and 16. That was when I realized that our prayers DO get answered but in Gods time NOT our time. I wasn't mad at God at the way my dad died. Actually I was happy that he was finally gone. Happy because his drinking wasn't hurting the ones that loved him any more.
My life has been hard but I keep strong because I have our Lord holding my hand every step of the way.
This is but only a glimpse into the torment of my life of the past.
But as of the last 10yrs. it has gotten much brighter.

Now you know a little more about me. How about you sharing a bit about yourself and sending me the link?

God Bless,
Christina

Wal- Mart to pay $27.6M in Ca. dumping case

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has agreed to pay $27.6 mil. to settle allegations that it improrerly handles and dumped hazardous waste at stores across California in a case that led to change in the retailer's practices nationwide, prosecutors said.
The settlement ends a five-year investigation involving more than 20 prosecutors and 32 environmental groups. They alleged that each of the company's 236 stores and distribution centers across California, including Sam's Club warehouse stores, were in violation of environmental laws and regulations, said San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis.
Wal-Mart was accused of improperly disposing of pesticide, fertilizer, paint, aerosols and other chemicals. In one case, Dumanis said a Solano County boy was found playing in a mound of fertilizing near a Wal-Mart garden section. The yellow-tinted powder contained ammonium sulfate, a chemical compound that causes irritation to people's skin, eyes and respiratory tract.
"Today, a corporate giant has been held accountable for its actions, and Wal-Mart is cleaning up its act," Dumanis said.
Wal-Mart still may shell out more money because of civil and criminal investigations by federal officials into allegations that the company's handling of hazardous waste violated environmental laws in California, Missouri and Washington, D.C. The federal cases are still pending, including California.

Oh where, oh where have I been...

Well ---
Without internet for the most part. I was using my cell phone as my modem until I did a "stupid" thing and get my phone updated. At the service center they neglected to inform me that "IF" I got the updates I would no longer be able to use my phone as a modem. So long story short I have no recourse. I spent weeks on the phone with my cell phone company, "Sprint" to only hear there was nothing they could do. Not even if I upgrade to new phones. So I am upset to say the least.

So I searched other places to get internet. Verizon was a good choice as my neighbor has them through their phone line called a Data line. Well a few more weeks dealing with them only to hear that I can't get internet through them since I haven't had a land line at my home in a number of years. Apparently the phone company "sells" your phone line when it hasn't been used in a few years. That was new news to me. I know they give your number away but didn't know they sold your line.
Anyway I have internet now. Hopefully I can keep this one for some time. I'll keep paying the bill as long as they keep me hooked up.

God Bless,
Christina
