Easy Apple Strudel
Your Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chopped apples
- FOR YOUR CRUMB TOPPING.....
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
Your Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 8x8 pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, sugar and eggs until smooth. Mix in vanilla. Stir in apples, and slowly blend in the flour mixture. Spoon the mixture into your prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until mixture is like coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the top of mixture in your pan.
- Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven or until a toothpick put in the center comes out clean. Allow this to sit a few minutes to cool before serving. It's better to cool on a wire rack.
- Serve by it's self or with cool whip or ice cream.
