Homemade Milk Bone Dog Biscuits

Servings: Depends on the size you cut them

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 50 minutes

Total time: 70 minutes, plus time to cool

Ingredients:
3/4 c hot water
1/3 c margarine
1/2 c powdered milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
3 c whole wheat flour

Directions:
In large bowl, pour hot water over margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour 1/2 cup at at time. Knead for a few minutes to form a stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2" thickness on floured board. Cut into bone shapes. Bake 325* for 50 minutes. Cool. They will dry out quite hard. Makes about 1 1/4 pound of biscuits.
