Save on your Prescriptions if you don't have prescription coverage..

yourrxdiscounts.com

You can opt to get one of these or just go to the site and go through the list of prescriptions and click on yours and it will take you to another window with the amount of savings you can get. With a coupon to print to take to your pharmacy with you. You will need to get a new coupon each time. Because the UID # on the coupon is different every time. So you might want to just print out a few to have on hand if you get refills of certain prescriptions.
In these trying times I know all the saving we can get helps.
It even has a spot on the page in the upper right hand side if it doesn't list your prescription where you can write it in and they will find a discount for you if they can.
How great is that!!!

Make up your own Living Will....

http://www.doyourownwill.com/living-will/states.html

I know that a Living Will is probably the furthest thing from most of our minds. But we should all be prepared for these times that **WILL** come to pass. It should not be left up to our loved ones. At that moment when time is critical, emotions are running high and no one really knows what your wants are but you. Your loved ones may know what *THEY*want but not what you want when that time comes.
I actually had this talk with my daughter awhile back and her idea of what I wanted was totally different from what I wanted. So it is a good idea to have it down on paper and notarized so there is no mistakes made. You can even take the paper to your hospital and they will keep a copy on file so it will already be there. So that if and when something ever happens there is no need to search for that all important document. But let it be known to your loved ones-there is such a document, and where it can be found. If need be make copies and give to them.
It is hard to think of something happening to where you would have to make these decisions but that is life and you have to be the grown up and do the grown up thing and make the decisions.
Don't leave them for your children- they are having a hard enough time just trying to deal with the fact that reality has set in that their parent isn't invincible right now.
Don't make it any harder on them.
Love means showing them you care-- even in your last breath....

Hectic last few weeks....

Well I haven't been on because first there was joy in my life because my son had come to visit from Calif. He will be with us for a bit so that makes me very happy.
I hadn't seen him in a couple years so as a parent we are always happy when a child comes back home to visit.
But no sooner than had he been here a few days and my daughter and her family had come by to visit- (they now live only 20 miles from us), they finished their visit and had left and I got a frantic call from my daughter that they had hit a deer.
I literally RAN from one end of my home to the other getting my purse and told my son we had to go as I was running down the front steps and he was letting in the dog and locking the door. I had left the house without my glasses and flying down my road at 60mph. I knew right where she was- there are plenty of deer that cross our road. This is the scene I found.

The deer was literally cut in half. It didn't end up in the car. The Lord was watching over the kids. Although it did release it's self (#2) and my daughter got that  (she was in the front seat) and the guts went flying into the back seat ( riders side) where my granddaughter was setting. Poor girl. She then proceeded to scream and stand up to push it to the floor and want out of the car, immediately . The glass shattered everywhere. My daughter got a cut lip and some cuts to her arms and chest. Everyone got glass in their hair. I gave her, my granddaughter and one grandson a hair cut. There was blood, feces, guts and hair all through the car. It looked like someone killed a family in there. If I had looked at the car first inside-I would've thought they were all dead. It's a good thing I seen them at the people's house they stopped at first. The people were kind enough to get buckets of water to help clean them up and let my daughter and granddaughter take showers to clean up.
Boy-- that was a frightening day... But the Lord does watch over us.
My youngest grandson Logan-(5yrs. old) is just mad that his car seat has blood on it and he has to get a new one. What a way to look at the situation! He was a trooper through the whole thing- he just looked around and said -- that deer messed up our car.

Things have calmed down a bit and I have been spending time with my son.
Mr. L. had sold the motorcycle earlier this year and got himself a Scooter. He rides it back and forth to work and all around town. He gets about 90-100 miles to a gal. of gas. So with our gas at $3.56 that's not to bad. He can go for about 2 weeks back and forth to work on a gal of gas.
Wish I got that good of gas on my van.

So that is the reason I have been absent for a bit.

Helping those around us

Day in a day out we go about our day and have so much on our minds that we will pass many people and not even notice them. We have what it called "tunnel vision".
From Wikipedia---- Tunnel vision (Also known as "Kalnienk Vision") is the loss of peripheral vision with retention of central vision, resulting in a constricted circular tunnel-like field of vision.

But so many of us don't realize we are seeing like this during the day. We drive like this, we walk and see like this, we work- doing our jobs like this and see nothing outside this tunnel of vision we are looking threw. We go shopping and we don't see the people around us doing their business. It's only when they do something out of the ordinary that it catches our attention. Or make a noise.

There are so many people we walk right by every day that need our help but we don't notice them.
Well Mr. L and I do notice these people- actually we look for these people. The Lord has blessed us with the gift of attracting these people. We love it. We keep Bibles on hand at all times in the vehicle and I have them in my purse just in case someone may need one. I am always ending up spending much longer time going grocery shopping than I plan because I always come upon someone who ends up talking to me and I give them all my attention until they are finished. The Lord had put me in their path for a reason. I just love it.
So to help us provide the Bibles for the ones who need them and can't afford them I have made a site where I make homemade items to sell. I would hope that you would take just a minute to look at the site and see if there is something you could use or give as a gift so you could help us to provide Bibles and care packages to those who may need them.
http://christinas-creations.ecrater.com/
You will find kitchen accessories, jewelry, outside items, and everyday items for your liking.
We use the proceeds from these items to help us make life a little and I mean just a little easier for someone else. The care packages include- toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, soap, deodorant and shampoo. To us this isn't much but to someone who hasn't washed up in weeks it is heaven sent. And when we can afford it we give a blanket to help keep them warm.
So by you visiting my site and buying from it you are helping others-- so PLEASE do help us help others....

How do dogs keep cool?

I go out of my way to keep mine cool. It has been so hot here lately my poor babies have been just so uncomfortable. So I came up with a way to keep them cool.

I put down a pad for the floor and wet a towel. As you can see I had no trouble convincing them it was cooler to lay there in front of the fan instead of on the couch beside me. They were taking their turns laying here. But it did the trick to help keep them cool.

See my new sticker

I love it. I had Paul make it for me.

This is the way you put the stickers on... you rub them so they stick to the front (clear) sticky adhesive paper.

Then you peel them carefully away from the white backing.

And lay it where you want it.

Then rub it again to make sure it adheres to the vehicle or whatever you are putting it on.

Then you carefully peel off the white sticky paper and you are done...
Sorry these aren't in order by my url, (since we cut it- to make it easier to put on) but I was helping Mr. L. and it was hard to help and take pics at the same time. But you get the idea.
The red tape was to let us know where to begin- we measured it out so it would be even in the middle of the window.

Vinyl Stickers Giveaway,.,.ends 6/18

These are the greatest of stickers. We came across this table full of stickers at a garage sale this past weekend. Well to make the story short before the weekend was over we had bought around $38 worth from the him (Paul Schad). He is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He even made stickers for us. I wanted my url for my store for the back window on my van-- well he made it for me. Did a great job- if I say so myself. Mr. L. wanted some special stickers and he gladly made them for him. So I thought I would have a giveaway of some of his stickers so you could enjoy them also. He lives in our hometown, but if you'd like to call him and ask him to make you a certain sticker he would have no problem doing it. He doesn't charge very much for the stickers.  989-277-5444 He'd be glad to get them sent right out to you. I've already talked to him about putting his name and number on my blog and he gave me the OK to do it. He could really use the business. He is out of work right now and any work would help him support his family. **Just tell him Christina sent ya.**
AND the part we really liked was that if you get tired of the stickers being on your vehicle you can just peel them right back off with no problem. Just a little soap and water or goo gone and it's all cleaned up. How cool is that! You can't do that with any other stickers out there.

So here are the stickers that will be in the giveaway...It will be your choice as to which set you want--
Heavenly Set Or The Now Set.

                                         Heavenly Set

                                           The Now Set

I put the size of them below each one. The bottom Jesus is white. The color of the paper came out blue for some reason when I took the pic, but that is just the back paper that you take off anyways.
Now for the rules:
1) Follow my blog and get 1 entry, leave your email address and tell me which set you would like.
2) Blog about it and come back here and post the link and get another entry.
3) Follow me on twitter and get another entry.
4) Tweet about it and leave the link and get another entry.

Good luck and have a nice day everyone and thanks for following me. I do try to follow all who follow me if you have a link to your blog on your profile.

God Bless,
Christina

Not enough kleenex in the world

This is what I wish I was today. H A P P Y ! ! !

But I wasn't.
My allergies were just at me all day today. Itchy eyes which are no fun. Runny nose. Which is where the not enough kleenex comes into play.
Have you ever tried to go garage sale-ing, but ending up blowing your nose all the time? It's not so fun. Not to mention the sneezing. Then you end up with eyes that are almost shut from you rubbing them trying to itch them. Not to say anything for your make up being gone by now--... All the eye drops you put in don't work and you have exhausted your limit of allergy meds. for the day.     uuggghhhh
I love summer but it doesn't seem to like me back.

Some more of my Beaded Jewelry I've been working on..

This set here I made for Michelle that works at the post office. She just loves the color purple. I took this to her today and she just loved it.
I made this bracelet here in the same purples but added some silver jewels along with black and white beads to it. I really like how it turned out. These are made with the stretch band. So it will stretch over your wrist. This bracelet you will find over at my store.  Pretty much all things in my store are *free shipping*. I only ship in the US at this time.

Is this cute and easy or what?

How to Make Your Own Dress Form

Steps

  1. Strip to your undergarments, wearing a bra that you normally wear
  2. Put on an old t-shirt that won't be missed, since it will become part of the dress form.
  3. Begin wetting some of the packing tape.
  4. Start wrapping the tape with your friend's assistance, making an X over your chest and continue wrapping horizontally, preserving the shape of breasts for female shapes, until you have a few layers of tape.
  5. Remain still while the shell around you dries, usually about an hour, perhaps watching some TV or something so you don't get too bored.
  6. Cut the shell beginning at the bottom of the middle of the back, cutting upwards all the way to the neck.
  7. Remove the shell carefully, bending it no more than necessary, to avoid damaging it.
  8. Seal the cut in the back with packing tape.
  9. Set the shell in a place where it won't be disturbed while it dries completely.
  10. Hang your dress form securely, so it will not fall.
  11. Use two poles, one small enough to fit inside your dress form the long way yet doesn't extend through the neck hole, to make a lowercase T, with the crossbar at approximately your shoulder level when it's standing up, and tape the poles together.
  12. Place pole securely into a Christmas tree stand so it stands upright.
  13. Place your dress form over the top of the pole, resting on the crossbar of the T.

Tips

Cutting some strips beforehand will help quicken part of form making.
Measure the finished product with your personal measurements (chest, waist, hips) to make sure the size is as close as possible to your own. If it isn't you can simply tighten the form along the seam in the back.

Warnings

  • Make sure your tape is the kind with the envelope glue, and isn't covered with plastic. Sometimes it won't say on the package, and the kind that's already sticky and plastic covered really doesn't work nearly as well.
  • Be careful that your friend doesn't accidentally cut you, or your undergarments, instead of the dress form shell.
  • Uline carries a really great packing tape that can be used to do this, and you don't have to wait for it to dry. You will also want to use a plastic garbage bag instead of a t-shirt (the bigger the better). You will also want to cut across one shoulder and down the back to the left of center, and stuff the form with cotton batting.

Things You'll Need

  • Paper packing tape, the kind with envelope glue that needs to be dampened. It can be found in a paper supply store alongside packing materials.
  • Water.
  • Sponge (optional, but it will help in wetting)
  • A long t-shirt that you don't particularly care for, one that reaches to about mid-thigh.
  • A close friend to help you.
  • Scissors.
  • Pins.
  • Something to hang the dressform with
  • A couple of free hours
