Save on Potting Mix
When planting something in a large pot, put a plastic pint or quart-size (depending on the size of your pot) cottage cheese container (or yogurt, margarine - whatever) upside down in the bottom of your large pot. Add potting mix & your plant. The plastic container fills in the pot so you don't have to use as much soil. It also makes a large pot much lighter than if it were filled completely with soil!
